Belleville
The Belleville Community Park is located on an island surrounded by the Sugar River and beautiful Lake Belleview. It is a great place for a large group or picnic for two on the waterfront.

Belleville is the first village south of Madison on the Badger Trail. Pictured above is the Library Park with the historic Old Library in background. The park is downtown on Main Street and on the trail. Belleville is a perfect spot to start a bike or snowmobile ride south to the tunnel, Monticello and Monroe. Many bikers prefer starting at Belleville because of the flat grade to the tunnel. Starting on the south end of the tunnel the grade goes downhill for about a mile before it flattens out again to arrive in Monticello. A DNR trailhead parking lot is on the south side of the park and includes self registration, trail passes, and porta potty.

Ample snowmobile parking is available for all users of the trail within the downtown area which has numerous choices for both food and drink. Gas for snowmobiles can be purchased about 1/2 mile north of bridge pictured above. Please note, snowmobiles must go around the tunnel.
