S & B Tubing, Canoeing, and Kayaking - Albany Albany House Bed and Breakfast -Albany
|
The old mill wheel reminds us of a time past. It is located in the parking lot on the north end of Main Street. An area to view the dam is also located here with ample parking for your group. Be sure you find time to enjoy the view and perhaps a snack or refeshment. Bored of biking? Then spend an afternoon riding a tube on the Sugar River from S & B Tubing, perhaps even to your campsite at Sweet Minnihaha. Do you like staying at a bed and breakfast? We recommend the Albany House Bed and Breakfast. Since July of 2007, the opening of the Badger Trail has given even more quality biking and snowmobile opportunities for those starting in Albany and then going to Monticello, connecting with the Badger Trail. From Monticello you can go to Monroe or the tunnel and Belleville.

The Sugar River Trail north of Albany to Monticello is the most scenic part of the bike trail. The Albany wildlife area provides sightings of cranes and deer to the observant rider. Riding south of Albany, you will find the only part of the trail that is not part of a former railroad bed. There are a few hills and sharp turns which make a wonderful adventure on your trip to Brodhead. The wonderful people at S & B Tubing, by the bridge, can provide information about Albany and the Sugar River.
